The Ellen Sinopoli Dance Company (ESDC) presents the uniquely American art form of contemporary modern dance as interpreted through the richly imagined choreography of Artistic Director Ellen Sinopoli. As the resident company of The Egg Center for the Performing Arts in Albany, ESDC strives to engage both dance aficionados and the uninitiated into the world of modern dance. For the past 16 years, Ellen Sinopoli and her dancers have collaborated with over 25 artists of distinct genres and backgrounds. ESDC arts-in-education programs and residencies in regional school districts, public and private, bring the excitement and innovation of dance to children through the combination of movement, sound and visual imagery.

ESDC’s performances at professional, regional and college theatres include The Arts Center of the Capital Region, Avery Fisher Hall at Lincoln Center, The Egg, Hudson Valley Community College, Greenville Cultural Arts Center, Inside/Out Series at Jacob's Pillow, Kaatsbaan International Dance Center, Lake Placid Center for the Arts, Mulberry Street Theater, North Pointe Cultural Arts Center, Old Forge Arts Guild, Ozawa Hall at Tanglewood, The Sage Colleges, Skidmore College, Snug Harbor Cultural Center, University at Albany, SUNY Cobleskill and Troy Savings Bank Music Hall.
